It’s great to see 4 former Sports-ed Soccer Scholarship Program athletes involved with the Knoxville Force Soccer Team Franchise.
Josh Scott one of the pioneers of our program has been in the USA for many years now and is the assistant coach in their first year at the NPSL (National Premier Soccer League) Level.
On the playing staff 3 former players are involved:
Mark Lee, Harvey Headley and Nathan Thackeray

Simon Cox in action against Slough Town
We are delighted to announce the commitment of Simon Cox who has joined our Soccer Scholarship Program and will be joining our Elite Squad that will be heading over to North Carolina in April this year.
Simon, a former Scholarship player from Reading F.C is a great defensive prospect who we expect high things for in 2011.
From 15 he played for for Reading FC and represented the u18′s at 15. At the end of his u16 year he signed a two year scholarship where he started games ahead of many 2nd year’s in his first year and started in the FA youth cup.. In his second year he decided it was best for him to go to Wycombe Wanderers and while there was made captain of the youth team game. Simon is currently playing for Chertsey Town FC.
Simon will be a valued member of our elite squad in April and will attract many recruiting coaches
